On Monday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. employees of Cash Express of Lebanon delivered cakes to Lebanon EMS, Lebanon Fire Department, Loretto Fire Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s office as a small gesture to say thanks for all that you do. Small gestures can carry big messages.  They are simply doing what many Americans feel on 9/11, a sense of thanks and respect for first responders. The tragic events of 9/11 remind us that life can be too short, so we must express our gratitude when we can.

  • My point of view

While writing game reports and stories about the variety of sporting events we cover, I am supposed to remain objective and report on facts alone. At times that can be difficult. When I am at games and I feel that our team or a member of our team has been on the receiving end of anything that I don't think is right, I am upset. At least I am upset on the inside, but on the outside I try my best to keep my emotions to myself.
