Kentucky Adult Education announced that the current version of the GED® test will expire at the end of 2013. The current version, known as the 2002 Series GED® test, will be replaced with the new 2014 GED® test on Jan. 2, 2014.
The Marion County High School Lady Knights basketball team opened up regular season play with three games last week, and they lived up to their preseason No. 1 state ranking by defeating their opponents by an average of 44 points. “Defense, rebounding and playing team basketball are the reasons we have won all three games this week with a running clock,” Head Coach Trent Milby said. “If we continue to do those three things, we will be hard to beat.”
The Marion County swim team hosted their first meet of the season at the Lebanon Aquatic Center Nov. 27. The Aquaknights took on Nelson County in their season opening meet. The swim team enjoyed quite a bit of success in the meet, and according to Head Coach Holly Buckman, Marion County came out on top in all but two events in the meet.
