    Billy and Nena Olivier of Springfield announce the birth of a 7-pound, 6-ounce son, Landon Carter Olivier, born Dec. 9, 2012, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
    Maternal grandparents are Charles and Wanda Tharp of Lebanon.
    Paternal grandparents are Randy and Jean Porter of Lebanon.

  • McDonald’s bring holiday surprise for Lebanon teacher

    Ellen McFall, a teacher at St. Charles Middle School, has much more joy than usual to share with her students this holiday season. McFall is the recipient of a 2012 MAC Grant from McDonald’s Restaurants of Kentuckiana.  
    For the tenth consecutive year, Kentuckiana middle school teachers shared their ideas of how to “Make Activities Count” in the classroom in hopes of receiving one of McDonald’s MAC Grants. The grant program rewards teachers for innovation and creativity in the classroom by providing funding for hands-on learning activities.

  • Students receive degrees

    Campbellsville Univer-sity graduated 216 students in two ceremonies Friday, Dec. 14 in Ransdell Chapel.
    The following local students received degrees from Campbellsville University:
    Jodi Michelle Tungate of Bradfordsville received a associate degree in nursing. Tungate is a graduate of Marion County High School. She is the daughter of Jody and Mary Jane Tungate of Bradfordsville.

  • Ford Motor Company and Stuart Powell Ford continue commitment to FFA

    Patti Powell announced recently that Stuart Powell Ford would again join Ford Motor Company in its ongoing commitment to the National FFA (formerly known as the Future Farmers of America).
    Ford has committed to a 16th year of the Built Ford Tough – FFA collegiate scholarship program, which will award $1,000 scholarships to hundreds of FFA members, each co-sponsored by Ford Dealers like Stuart Powell Ford.
