The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for much of central Kentucky, including Marion County, until 8 a.m. Sunday, July 7.
A flood warning has also been issued until 3:15 a.m. A additional two inches of rain is possible tonight, according to the weather service.
A watch is issued when the potential for flooding exists. A warning is issued when flooding is occurring.
According to the weather service, law enforcement throughout central Kentucky have reported localized flooding of small creeks and streams.
