The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 1 a.m. for several counties in central Kentucky, including Marion County.
A tornado watch means the conditions for a tornado are possible. A tornado warning is issued when a tornado has been spotted or is indicated by weather radar.
According to the weather service, a large, low-pressure system will move into the Ohio Valley tonight. This system could produce showers, thunderstorms, large hail, strong wind gusts, and lightning.
