  • Cheerleading tryouts scheduled for April 30

    The award-winning Campbellsville University Cheerleaders will be holding co-ed cheer and mascot tryouts for the 2011-12 season on Saturday, April 30, in the Powell Athletic Center.
    According to Coach Vanessa Adkins, there will also be a cheerleading clinic prior to tryouts on Friday, April 29, from 6-8:30 p.m.
    Tryouts will be held on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
    The university cheerleaders have won two Mid-South Conference championships in the last four years.

  • Spring football game ends in tie

    The Knights had their seventh annual spring football game Thursday. The maroon team and the white team ended in a 14-14 tie. See next week’s issue of The Lebanon Enterprise for full details on the game.

  • Apply now for emergency food and shelter program funds

    Marion County may be awarded federal funds under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. If funding is received, it will supplement emergency food and temporary lodging programs in the area. “When and if funding becomes available, the national board cannot guarantee any specific jurisdiction will qualify for funds or guarantee any particular level of funding. However, the national board does encourage the local boards to begin the Phase 29 process.”

  • Kiwanis auction is April 10

    The Lebanon Kiwanis Club is having its 2011 auction Sunday, April 10, starting at 1 p.m. on Channel 6 TV and 1590 WLBN-AM. The Club relies on the contributions of civic-minded individuals and companies to gather items for the auction.  Letters are being mailed to those who have helped us in the past, and soon, Kiwanis Club members will make personal calls on the community to gather this year’s auction items.

    Kenneth Ray and Regina Mae Ewing of Lebanon announce the birth of a 10-pound, 10-ounce son, Kenneth Ray Ewing Jr., born March 19, 2011, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
    Maternal grandparents are the late Carl Eugene and Alicia Darlene Rakes.
    Paternal grandparents are Barnett and Mattie Ewing.
    Kenneth Ray Jr. has one sister, Alicia Mattie Ewing.
