In the midst of the ice storm, Lebanon Water Works experienced its own problem.
Late Tuesday, Jan. 27, the water company's water treatment plant in Calvary lost power. That meant the water supply for the city and Marion County was not being replenished.
"We didn't have any mechanical failures or anything like that," said John L. "Quincy" Thomas, the Lebanon Water Works superintendent. "It was just a matter of being without power. While it was out, we couldn't pump and treat the water."
