    Raywick grade school
    The first ever Raywick grade school reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 at Raywick City Park. Mass will be held at 4 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church. A meal and music will follow the Mass. The Cattleman’s Association will provide the food. There is a cost.


  • Couch and Blandford will marry Sept. 17


    Carolyn and Steve Couch of Springfield announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsey, to Justin Blandford, son of Jean and Michael Blandford of Lebanon.
    Couch is a 2011 graduate of Washington County High School. She is employed at Lebanon Post Office.
    Blandford is a 2007 graduate of Marion County High School and is employed at Montebello Packing in Lebanon.
    The wedding will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at Popes Creek in Lebanon.
    Invitations have been sent.

  • GOLF: Knights add two more wins

    The Marion County Knights began the week on the road against the Green County Dragons, coming away with a win, 175-192.
    "I am proud of how my guys continue to grind on the course when we don't bring our best," Knights Head Coach Joey Reed said. "Overall, we didn't play our best, but after a long weekend, I think we handled adversity very well."
    Bryce Spalding led the Knights with a score of 41, while Houston Raikes posted a 42. Ethan Spalding posted a 45 and Jon Connor Ross posted a 47.

  • Blanford and Walston will marry Oct. 1


    Julita Hutchins of Lebanon and Doug and Lisa Hutchins of Loretto announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melissa Blanford, to Charles Craig Walston, son of Doug and Rhonda Walston of Lebanon.
    The wedding will take place at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1, 2016, at David and Renee Daugherty’s property on Loretto Road. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony.
    No formal invitations have been sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

  • Marion Middle Knights

    The Marion County Middle School eighth grade football team has completed their regular season with a 1-4 record. They will begin play offs at 6 p.m., Sept. 20, at Bardstown versus Bardstown.
    The Marion County Middle School sixth and seventh grade football teams have completed their regular season, as well, finishing with a 1-4 record. They will begin play offs at 6 p.m., Sept. 20, at St. Dominic versus St. Dominic.

    Coming up on Sunday, Sept. 18, is the Mid-KY Bass Anglers annual Ham Days Open Bass Tournament. This tournament will launch at 8 a.m. … yea, 8 a.m. … with a 2 p.m. weigh-in.
