    Monday, Oct. 7: Hamburger on whole wheat bun, sliced tomato, potato salad, steamed broccoli, fruited gelatin.
    Tuesday, Oct. 8: Ham, whole wheat bread, mashed potatoes, buttered zucchini, fruit cup, Jell-O cake.
    Wednesday, Oct. 9: Boneless baked chicken breasts w/mustard sauce, baby lima beans, wild rice, strawberry/banana dessert, whole wheat bread.
    Thursday, Oct. 10: Hot turkey sandwich, gravy, pasta salad, corn, mandarin oranges, whole wheat bread.
    Friday, Oct. 11: Meatloaf, roasted potatoes, spinach, cantaloupe/peach slices, whole wheat bread.

    Marion County High School Class of 2008 will hold a 5-year reunion Oct. 4, 2013, at 7 p.m. until midnight at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Lebanon. Payment can be made at the door.   • Farmer and Caldwell willmarry Oct. 19

     

    Johnny and Pamela Farmer of Saint Mary announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittany Farmer, to Justin Caldwell, son of Jackie Caldwell of Jessietown and Karen and Phillip Gootee of Saint Mary.
    The wedding is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, October 19 at Centre Square in Lebanon.
    A reception will follow the ceremony.
    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
     

  • Taylor and Lyvers will marry Oct. 19

     

    Spalding Taylor of Loretto and the late Jeanie Taylor announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Regina Taylor, to Robbie Lyvers, son of Debbie Robey of St. Francis, Carl Downs, and the late Bobby Lee Lyvers.
    Taylor is employed with Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
    Lyvers is self-employed.
    The wedding will take place at 6 p.m. Oct. 19, 2013, at Holy Cross Gymnasium with a reception to follow.
    Out of town invitations have been sent. All friends and family are invited to attend.

  • Green River campgrounds, day-use parks may close temporarily

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is preparing for the possible closure of campgrounds and day-use parks under their jurisdiction as a result of the federal government shutdown that took effect Oct. 1. Green River Lake is one of these areas.

    Affected areas will not reopen until the shutdown ends. Visitors are encouraged to contact local park offices or the Louisville District Army Corps of Engineers office for information. Visitors can also find information on USACE websites (www.usace.army.mil).
