    By the time you read this, the results of the Iowa Caucus may already be known. The national media gives the caucus a lot of attention, mainly because it's the first official "vote" for President. 

    The caucus isn't the same as a primary, but still it's something. But what does it tell us? Looking back on the history of the event I can definitively say: I don't know.

  • Simple wishes for Christmas

    I used to say it was too late to go Christmas shopping if you were seeing Ronco products on television. Since Ronco seems to have disappeared I've decided the shopping cut-off date now is when you start seeing Chia articles. I've already seen Chia cat grass containers, Chia herb garden containers, and even a President Obama Chia. That's just not right! That is NOT a hoot.

  • Governor taking a gamble on budget

    Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear said that one of his top priorities, if re-elected, would be working to create jobs so that every Kentuckian who wants a job has one.

    Now that the election is over, another of Beshear's secondary goals - expanded gambling and gaming - has moved to the front burner.
