  • Get ready for 4th annual Family Bike and Hike

Imagine getting up earlier on a beautiful day and going somewhere where everyone is excited and in a great mood. The atmosphere is uplifting, knowing you are about to do something fun that is also wonderful for your health. The sense of accomplishment that you will feel at the end is amazing! And anyone can do it!

  • Letter: Seeking information about Kentucky

I'm Katy Smith and I'm doing a fourth grade state project. I was dying for Kentucky, and I got it! I can't wait to learn more about The Bluegrass State!

  • Compromise

"A compromise is the art of dividing a cake in such a way that everyone believes he has the biggest piece." - Ludwig Erhard

Monday night the Lebanon City Council and the Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission made a compromise that, for now, has postponed the council's decision to eliminate the city's restaurant tax.

  • Day to remember

March 10, 2003, was the most important date in the history of the Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission.

April 11, 2011, may just be the second most important.

In 2003, Lebanon Mayor Gary Crenshaw broke a tie that allowed the commission to be created. On Monday, the city council could take a step that will effectively end that commission.

  • Running and racing with my rug rat

    “Hey, momma. Wanna race?”

It’s a question my four-year-old son, Owen, is asking me constantly these days.

It doesn’t matter if we’re in the hallway of our house or waking into school - Owen wants to race!

    And, he gets it naturally.

  • Letter: Pleased with convention

On March 25, KFEA (Kentucky Festivals and Events) was in Lebanon for a mini convention. I would like to say that the Lebanon Tourism and Chris Hamilton was great to work with. Chris was so helpful bringing our mini convention to Lebanon. He made sure all the details were taken care of.

He was a speaker that day and did a wonderful job. Lebanon has a great person representing them. Chris is doing a great job.
