Cookout
New Life Christian Church will be having a cookout at Bradfordsville Park from 4:40 p.m.-? on Saturday, May 18. There will be lots of good gospel music. All proceeds will go to the New Life Christian Church building fund.

Editor’s note: This is the last story in a series about the seven special districts serving Marion County, as identified by the State Auditor’s Office as part of an effort to increase public awareness of how their money is spent. The Enterprise is taking a closer look at the special districts that serve Marion County, how they are funded, and what they do for the community.

Spalding and Caldwell will marry...

 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Spalding and Mr. and Mrs. Rob Wolfe announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Deetra Danielle Spalding, to Joseph Aaron Caldwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Caldwell.
The wedding is set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Myrtledene Bed and Breakfast, 370 N. Spalding Ave., Lebanon.
A reception will follow the ceremony at Centre Square.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Local students receive degrees

Saturday, May 11, 2013, Dr. Robert Imhoff, president of Mid-Continent Univer-sity, conferred degrees to approximately 340 students. Commencement ceremonies were held at Graves County High School in Mayfield.
Those receiving degrees from Marion County are:
• Bachelor of Science
Victoria N. Porter, William Keith Boswell, and Katherine Ann Jones, Summa Cum Laude, all of Lebanon.
• Associate of Science
Chantini Renee Owens of Lebanon.

WMES offers Tammy Newton/Angell...

West Marion will be presenting its first “Mrs. Tammy Newton” scholarship in partnership with Angell Demmel Manufacturing. The school is proud to announce that they will award a scholarship of $1,000 based on a combination of academic achievement and community/school citizenship. The scholarship will be paid jointly to the student and school to be attended by the student. For a list of application procedures, see your school guidance counselor.
