Mid-Continent University recently held its December 2013 graduation ceremony. Five Marion County residents were among the graduates.
Sara Elizabeth Ray of Lebanon graduated (cum laude) with a bachelor of science degree.
Jessica Ann Calhoun, Janice Chesser (magna cum laude) and Dona Marie Owens, all of Lebanon, and Samantha Jo Tate of Gravel Switch graduated with an associate of science degree.
I was not a pretty baby when I was born. I looked like Winston Churchill but it is my opinion that all new babies look like ol’ Winston. They don’t start getting cute until they are around 6 to 8 months old.
Independent Stave Company is pleased to announce its agreement to purchase the assets of Ohio Stave Company, slated to become the Boswell family’s fourth American oak stave mill. Ohio Stave Company will supply ISC’s Kentucky Cooperage, which primarily services the bourbon industry. The mill will also supply ISC’s subsidiary Stave Associates International, responsible for selling staves internationally to other cooperages.
Barb’s Décor & Gifts was the winner for the best gift shop in the Best of Marion County. Pretty Please was the winner for the best home décor. An ad composed by the Enterprise incorrectly stated that Pretty Please won for best gift shop.
Also, Shear Delite should have been referred to as Best Beauty Shop instead of barber shop.
Kroger recently held a softball tournament as a fund-raiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The first photos is Craig Drury’s team, which won the tournament. The second photo is Sabrina Johnson’s team, which was the runner-up.
