    Rex and Sheila Moore of Lebanon announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittany Moore, to Jared Helm, son of Buddy and Doris Helm of Lebanon.
    Moore is employed as a dialysis tech at FMC.
    Helm is a maintenance supervisor at Plastic Products.
    The wedding will take place at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19, 2015, in Lebanon.
     

  • Nathan and Jessica Shewmaker announce the birth of a 7 pound, 14-ounce son, Joseph Davis Shewmaker, born on June 4, 2015 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
    Maternal grandparents are David and Tracy Mudd of Lebanon. Paternal grandparents are David and Helen Jo Shewmaker of Springfield. Paternal great-grandparents are Wesley and Jean Shewmaker of Springfield.
    Joseph Davis Shewmaker has two sisters, Kayton and Kenlee Shewmaker.
     

  • Dr. Mary Alexandria Schickli, daughter of Warren and Susan Schickli of Lexington and granddaughter of Mary Leo Mudd of Lebanon and the late Alfred S. Mudd, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. She is also a 2010 graduate of Centre College. She is currently doing a residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

  • Hosparus Green River needs volunteers in Adair, Green, Marion, Taylor and Washington counties and will offer a free training session from 8:45 a.m. – 5 p.m., on Thursday, July 16 (lunch provided), at its Campbellsville office, 295 Campbellsville Bypass (behind Coltons).

    This week, many churches celebrated Trinity Sunday. We thought about the Christian understanding of one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. What do we mean when we talk about one God in three Persons? An honest answer would have to be, “We’re not quite sure, but we think it’s important.” The Trinity reminds us that God is mystery, God is relationship, and God is stability.
