  • Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2013, your local Community Action office is assisting families of low-income with the LIHEAP Crisis program.
    To be eligible for Crisis funds you must be in a heating crisis. You must have a past due/disconnect notice from the electric or natural gas company, or be out of bulk fuel within four days if using propane, fuel oil or kerosene, or wood, or a formal eviction notice from your landlord if heating expenses are included in the rent.

  • Candles will glow Sunday, Dec. 9 when tens of thousands of bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents, relatives, and friends around the globe will join together to light remembrance candles to honor the memories of children who have died, but will never be forgotten.

  • Clarence Spalding, president of Spalding Entertainment and Lebanon native, was named the "Manager of the Year" Wednesday of last week by the Country Music Association in Nashville.
    Spalding was one of several winners of CMA's touring industry honors known as the SRO (Standing Room Only) Awards, which were presented by superstar artist and radio personality Kix Brooks and CMA Chief Executive Officer Steve Moore during "The 42nd Annual IEBA Conference" in conjunction with the presentation of the IEBA Awards and Hall of Fame Induction in Nashville.

  • Amanda and Michael Leathers of Lebanon announce the birth of a 6-pound, 6-ounce son, Dylan Michael Leathers, born Aug. 27, 2012, at Norton Suburban Hospital.
    Maternal grandparents are Ricky and Loretta Bradshaw of Lebanon. Paternal grandparents are Freddie and Dee Leathers of Lebanon. Great-grandparents are Dorothy Bradshaw and the late Jimmy Bradshaw, the late Marian and J.E. Thompson, the late Elmer and Mickey George and the late Fred and Jo Leathers.
