  • Aquaknights notch another victory

    Like a knife  through butter, the Marion County Aquaknights cut through the water to take another win last week.
    On Jan. 28, the Aquaknights hosted and defeated Nelson County High School, Thomas Nelson High School, and Bethlehem High School.
    “Tonight was great,” Aquaknights Coach Holly Buckman said. “The swimmers did really good. It’s always nice when Bethlehem and Nelson and Marion County get together because we always practice together.”

  • Tonight's high school basketball games have been canceled

    The Marion County High School basketball games at Adair County scheduled for Feb. 3 have been canceled due to the road conditions, according to Marion County Athletics Director Robby Peterson.

  • Lady Knights topple Taylor County

     Deep in enemy territory, facing an opponent with a stronger record, and surrounded by hundreds of fans rooting against you - it’s hard to imagine coming out with your skin intact.

    But the Marion County Lady Knights did just that, and they came out on top.

    The Taylor County Cardinals ended Marion County’s nine-game winning streak on Friday night, downing the Knights by 17 in front of a standing-room only crowd in Campbellsville, 96-79.

  • Jan. 25 girls basketball game has been cancelled

    The girls basketball game against Henry Clay scheduld for Saturday, Jan. 25, has been cancelled,  according to Marion County Athletic Director Robby Peterson.

    The Marion County boys freshmen basketball game against Berea County also scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25, has been cancelled.

  • Knights fight off Rebels for win

    Despite original opponent Apollo backing out of the fourth annual Autism Classic, the Knights took the court against the Casey County Rebels on Saturday night. 

    The Knights won, 74-72.

  • Lady Knights fall to Bullitt East

     For the second time this season, Marion County High School hosted its own basketball tournament. Unlike the Marion County Holiday Classic in December, this one benefited some very special children. 

    On Jan. 18, MCHS hosted its annual Autism Classic. 

    The tournament, which is in its fourth year  brought teams from  around the region to compete for the cause.

  • Making waves

    The sharp scent of chlorine, humidity and sweat filled the air as the Marion County Aquaknights dove into action during their first home meet of the season. Though their season got off to a late start, Marion County showed no signs of slacking off when they defeated their foes, Campbellsville and Taylor County.

    The girls team finished first in the meet with 611.50 points, well above Taylor County’s 308.50 and Campbellsville’s 185.

  • Tonight's basketball games have been cancelled

    The Marion County High School basketball games at Adair County scheduled for tonight, Jan. 21, have been cancelled, Marion County Athletic Director Robby Peterson announced.

    Those games have been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 3.
