  • JV Girls District Tournament rescheduled

    The Lady Knights JV district tournament that was originally scheduled for last Wednesday evening was postponed due to inclement weather and poor road conditions. The tournament will be played tonight beginning at 5 p.m.
    The JV Lady Knights will take the court at approximately 6:30 p.m. against the Campbellsville Eagles. The championship game will be played immediately following the JV Lady Knights game and is set to tip-off around 8 p.m.

  • Girls top Ohio team

    The Marion County Lady Knights varsity girls basketball team traveled to Centerville, Ohio to participate in the 3rd annual Kentucky/Ohio challenge Saturday.

    They took on the Chaminade Julienne Lady Eagles, a team from Dayton, Ohio, that is ranked 35th in the state. The Lady Knights led at the half by a score of 22-17. Marion County went on to defeat Chaminade Julienne by a final score of 45-42 giving them their 19th win against only six losses. Head Coach Trent Milby said that this was a good, tough win on the road.

  • JV Knights fall short

    The Marion County Knights junior varsity boys basketball team hosted the JV district tournament Saturday at Lebanon Middle School. They drew the Adair County Indians and played the second game of the day after the Campbellsville Eagles took on Taylor County in the first game of the day.

  • Knights win last-second thriller

    The Marion County Knights varsity boys basketball team traveled to Campbellsville to take on the Taylor County Cardinals Monday of last week. Despite being down by 10 points in the game, the Knights managed to make a comeback and defeat the Cardinals by two points with a final score of 45-43. Junior Carlos Litsey hit a shot with two seconds remaining in the game to put it away and scored a game high 16 points.  

  • Lady Knights keep rolling

    The Lady Knights had no trouble defeating the Lady Cardinals Monday of last week, scoring 71 points and only allowing the home team 33 points. Junior Bre Elder led all scorers in the game with 14 points helping her team to have a 17-6 record.

  • Tigers pounce on Knights

    The Marion County Knights varsity boys basketball team went on the road to take on the Bardstown Tigers Tuesday of last week. The Tigers out-rebounded and overpowered the Knights as Bardstown defeated Marion County by 25 points in an 85-60 loss, dropping their record to 12-8. Seniors Deshawn Douglas and Josh Brockman led the way for the Knights scoring 13 and 12 points respectively.

  • Lady Knights beat Hart County by 28

    The Marion County Lady Knights varsity girls basketball team hosted the Hart County Lady Raiders at the Roby Dome Monday of last week. After a bit of a sluggish first quarter, the Lady Knights picked up the pace and took control of the game. Sophomore Makayla Epps poured in a game high 26 points in route to the Marion County victory with a final score of 62-34.

  • Knights win thriller; clinch No. 1 district seed

    The Marion County Knights varsity boys basketball team hosted the Taylor County Cardinals Friday night at the Roby Dome in front of what may have been the biggest and most supportive crowd to see a ballgame recently. All fans were asked to wear white to the game to make the effect of a “white-out.”

  • Six games scheduled this week

    Tonight the Lady Knight’s JV team will be hosting the 20th district freshman tournament. Marion County will play in the second game of the night with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The championship game will be played following that game, and is scheduled to start at approximately 8 p.m.
