  • Tonight's baseball game has been cancelled

    The Marion County High School baseball team's game at Bardstown, scheduled for tonight, April 25, has been cancelled.

  • MCHS boys place second, girls take third in Green County

    The Marion County Knights and Lady Knights track and field teams had a good showing at the Green County All-Comers meet held Thursday night. Overall, the boys team won second place with 124 points behind only Green County (162 points), and the girls’ team placed third with 81 points behind LaRue County (122 points) and Green County (143 points).
    “I am very proud of the effort I am getting from the kids,” Head Coach Robby Peterson said.

  • Lady Knights split week

    The Marion County Lady Knights tennis team was able to compete in two matches last week with one against Fort Knox being cancelled due to rain. Marion County played Taylor Wednesday on the road (make-up match from Monday) and took on Central Hardin Thursday at home. The Lady Knights were able to defeat Taylor County 4-1, but were defeated by Central Hardin 1-4.

  • Knights drop two

    The Marion County Knights tennis team lost both of their matches last week, losing to Taylor County on Wednesday and Central Hardin on Thursday. Rain canceled their match against Fort Knox on Tuesday. In each of the matches, the Knights were defeated 3-2.

  • Lady Knights lose to Central Hardin

    The Marion County Lady Knights softball team was scheduled to play three games last week. However, due to the rainy weather conditions, the Lady Knights were only able to play one game, last Wednesday night against Central Hardin on the road. Marion County couldn’t put a run on the scoreboard, and Central Hardin defeated the Lady Knights by a score of 5-0, taking the team’s record to 6-4.  Head Coach Trent Milby stated that their pitcher was hittable.
    “We just didn’t get hits when people were on base,” he said.

  • Knights suffer two district loses

    The Marion County Knights baseball team dropped two games last week, losing to district rivals Adair County and Campbellsville. Although both games were played at Dave Hourigan Field, the Knights couldn’t manage to pull out the victories, taking their overall record to 5-6 and their district record to 0-2.

    At home vs. Campbellsville...
    The Knights baseball team took on Campbellsville Thursday. The Knights could only manage one run on four hits, while allowing Campbellsville to pick up six runs on eight hits. Marion County lost the game 6-1.

  • Varsity baseball tournament cancelled

    Marion County was scheduled to play in a varsity baseball tournament at North Hardin today, April 16.

    That tournament has been cancelled.

  • JV baseball game at Anderson County has been cancelled

    The Marion County High School junior varsity baseball team was scheduled to play at Anderson County tonight, April 15, but that game has been cancelled.

  • Knights lose to Bethlehem


    In their only game of the week, the Marion County Knights baseball team traveled to Bardstown to take on Bethlehem Thursday. The game would go back and forth throughout, with each side trading runs. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied at five, Bethlehem took advantage of two errors to grab the go ahead run and defeat the Knights by a score of 6-5.
