We’ve talked about it for a few weeks and now it’s almost upon us. Months of preparation, involvement from a lot of the community and something we can all be proud of is about to happen.
Yes, our Young Woman of the Year program is envied by every other county in Kentucky... and maybe other states. And, yes, our young ladies are the prettiest and most talented in the Commonwealth. And, yes, our Aug. 6 Young Woman of the Year deserves our respect and support.

One of those deep thinking, psychological kind of guys once said, “to understand the owl, study the mouse.”
That’s okay, if you’re into owls, but since they’re a protected bird, you can’t legally shoot one. Most of my friends would better relate to something like “to know the bass, know the shad-crawfish-bluegill-worm.” Simply, everything eats, so if you find the food source you’ll find the bass.
