They kept it close, but that doesn't mean a win.
The Marion County Knights' losing streak has reached eight games after a 20-7 loss to the Taylor County Cardinals on Friday, Oct. 21 at home. It was also Marion County High School's homecoming, but a magical night was turned sour for the Knights (1-8), who were haunted by mistakes.

  • Knights fall to Trojans, season...

Faced with a 3-0 deficit, it would take a furious rally for the Knights to have a shot to keep their season alive.
    They nearly did it. Nearly.
The Marion County Knights' season came to an end with a 3-2 loss to the North Hardin Trojans in the Fifth Region Tournament on Oct. 19.

  • Worst total ever for a Mid-KY...

    By Shelton Young

Our Mid-KY Bass Anglers fished our “Classic” on Saturday and Sunday. This ended our 2016 season, which started back in March. It also marked the end of our 20th season as a club! As a side note, John Grundy has fished all 20 seasons while I’ve missed two - one due to heart surgery and one with a broken humerus (upper arm).
    Back to this year’s Classic!

  • Busy time of year for UK sports

    By Larry Vaught

Rather than take a chance on delaying Isaac Humphries' return from what has been described as a minor leg/knee issue, Kentucky coach John Calipari did not play his sophomore in last week's Blue-White Game.
That is an indicator that Calipari believes Humphries is ready to make solid contributions to this team as freshman center Bam Adebayo's backup.
