  • SOFTBALL: District action on...

Arguably the most important game for the Marion County Lady Knights will be played in a span of 15 days.
Marion County's six district games are set to begin April 10 when the Lady Knights welcome the Adair County Lady Indians. The Lady Knights' regular season district play concludes in Columbia on April 25 against Adair County as well.
First, Marion County heads to Campbellsville to play in the Lady Cardinal Classic this weekend, April 8. The Lady Knights will open their play against the Glasgow Lady Scotties at 11 a.m.

  • TENNIS: Knights slump in match...

Marion County's meet against the Central Hardin Bruins March 28 was a rough outing for the Knights, said Head Coach Noah Swencki. Nonetheless, he was satisfied with his team's effort.
"They didn't play their best," Swencki said, "but they gave their all, and I'm happy with that."
Marion County was only able to win one singles match while dropping all five doubles matches. Bryce Spalding recorded Marion County's only win in the match, defeating Keegan Christensen in two sets, 6-2, 6-4.

  • Vaught’s Views: Lynn Bowden...

    By Larry Vaught

Lynn Bowden didn’t really know anything about the Kentucky-Ohio All-Star Basketball Game until his coach recently told him about it. Once he heard about it, he thought, “Why not,” and opted to play in Saturday’s game at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills.
Even though he’ll be a 6-1 guard for Ohio, he could be the most interesting player in the game for many University of Kentucky fans. He’s a UK football signee and was rated as one of the top 100 players in the 2017 recruiting class by ESPN.

  • BASEBALL: Knights win without...

Kelly Mattingly and Jacob Spalding each recorded two RBI's and the Knights broke the double-digit mark for runs the third time this season in Marion County's 10-4 win against Collins in Shelbyville Tuesday, March 21. The Knights recorded the win despite being without starters Andrew Spalding and Nicholas O'Daniel in the game.
