  • Woods and Waers: When fishing,...

When you watch fishing shows on television it seems like they catch fish on almost every cast. Course they’re catching them on lures, which just happen to be made by the show’s sponsor!
Now I’ll admit that I’m the type of viewer the sponsors want to appeal to. First, I love to fish. And secondly, I’m inclined to … or used to be … buy anything I see somebody else catch a bass on!
What I ended up with was box after box of lures that, even though they worked for the pros, didn’t work for me.

    By Larry Vaught

In four years with the Green Bay Packers, Randall Cobb  has had 335 receptions for 4,214 yards and 33 touchdowns. Cobb also has a 108-yard kickoff return for the Packers.
The former University of Kentucky star signed a four-year, $40 million contract to stay with the Packers before the 2015 season. Yet you might be surprised to know that his mother, Tina Cobb, still thinks it was more exciting to watch him play when he was at UK than it is in the NBA.

Thomas scored on an error when the Eagles mishandled Jared Bradshaw's groundball.

    By Dennis George

Golf is described as a gentleman’s game, but, unfortunately, golfers don’t always fit that description.
Surely most of you have played with that person who always cuts corners, if you will, so as to win those few extra bucks or to shave a couple of strokes off their score.
They don’t bend the rules; they break them.
And when you see it happen, you don’t know if you should laugh, get upset, or say something.

  • Renewed focus

There are so many example unbelievable and did-you-just-see-that moments in sports. The world of sports is full of such moments that leave fans in shock, either in the form of disgust or elated joy. Such is the happening in sports.
The prime example of those particular moments in sports I just mentioned is the comeback. Think about it. A team is down by a significant margin, only to storm back furiously and snatch a victory away from the other team that felt it had safely secured a win.
