  • Knights look to improve record...

With a new head coach at the helm, expectations are high for the Marion County Knights basketball team. Montrelle Irvin, who was hired in mid-July, hopes to take the Knights to a return trip to the regional tournament and hopefully further. After a somewhat surprising run into the regional tournament last season, this year’s version of the Knights looks to improve on last year’s winning record, the first since 2005-06, which finished 16-12.

  • Lebanon Middle School Lady...

The Lebanon Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team competed in the state tournament at the Kentucky Basketball Academy in Lexington over the weekend and advanced to the championship, which will take place on Sunday, Nov. 27.
    The Lady Patriots remain undefeated.

  • Lady Knights look to take next...

Last season, the Marion County High School Lady Knights basketball team did something no other girls team has ever done - advance to the final four of the Sweet 16.
But that’s not the ultimate goal the team has in mind this year.
The team hopes to make a return trip to Diddle Arena, and this time come away with some hardware.
With the loss of only one senior from last year’s squad, Shakila Goodin, the Lady Knights are fully loaded for another deep run into the postseason. Key new additions to the team will also help their cause.
