  • Knights Fall in Season Finale

The Marion County Knights wrapped up their regular season by traveling to Hodgenville Friday night to take on the Larue County Hawks.  After jumping out to a 14-5 lead in the opening frame, the Knights lead kept slipping away.  Larue County pulled ahead with a buzzer beater three pointer at the end of the third quarter, and maintained that lead throughout the rest of the game.  The Knights attempted to stay close, but could not overcome the deficit and lost by a final score of 71-66.

  • Mid-Kentucky Bass Anglers set...

The Mid-Kentucky Bass Anglers held their organizational meeting and set up the 2012 schedule. The rules remain the same as last year’s and most of the lakes will be the same, with two changes. Salem Lake has been dropped from the schedule and Liberty Lake has been added. The schedule is as follows:
    • March 18, Cabin Fever Open on Fagan Branch, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • April 1, Green River, launch from Ramp One, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • April 22, Liberty Lake, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Freshwater fishing vacation at...

Just spent a couple of weeks in one of my favorite places. My sister and brother-in-law went on a cruise, so the wife and I stayed with my dad at Myrtle Beach.
While it wasn't exactly "at the beach," to me it was even better! Better because their back deck is about sixty feet from the high water mark of the Waccamaw River and most of their front yard is a pond stocked with beam, a.k.a. bluegills.
