  • Epps Flirts With Point Record

         The Marion County Lady Knights made quick work of the Lady Cardinals of Sheldon Clark.  In the semi-finals of the Mercer County/Harrodsburg Tourism Titan Christmas Clash, the Lady Knights racked up a 41 point victory.  Marion County led by 22 at the half, and expanded the lead throughout the second half.  The Lady Knights will play in the finals tomorrow night at 7:30 P.M. against the host team Mercer County.


  • Knights Win OT Thriller

        Behind a career high 27 points from senior John Southall, the Knights won their first game in the Citizens Bank/Campbellsville University Holiday Classic.  Sophomore Latrelle Irvin, who added 21 points of his own, connected on the second of two free throw attempts with just 0.5 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.  In the extra session, the Knights dominated and came away with the six point victory.  With the victory, the Knights will face Covington Holmes at 8:30 P.M. tomorrow night.


  • Epps Climbs on Point List

         The Lady Knights defeated Lincoln County in their second game of the Mercer County/Harrodsburg Tourism Titan Christmas Clash, and advanced to the semi-finals of the tourney.  Marion County held the Lady Patriots to just three points in the opening frame, and were in control throughout.  With the win, the Lady Knights will face Sheldon Clark tomorrow night at 7:30 P.M.

  • Looking back at 2011

    As 2011 is about to come to a close, we reflect back and remember the top 11 sports stories from the year.

    11. Richardson leaves
    April 29th was Glen “G” Richardson’s last official day with Spring View Hospital, which means that he is no longer the athletic trainer for Marion County High School after nearly nine years of service. Richardson accepted a new position with Taylor Regional Hospital.

  • Fort Harrod Classic

    For the second year in a row, the Marion County Knights varsity basketball team traveled to Harrodsburg to participate in the Fort Harrod Classic hosted by Mercer County High School. Last year, the Knights managed one victory while suffering three defeats, and this year hoped to improve on that result. The team played games on four straight days beginning last Tuesday afternoon.
