The Marion County High School volleyball team could not uphold their eight-year streak this time around. The Lady Knights went 14-21-1 this season – their first losing record since 2007.
The season was off to a rough start, after losing their first three games to Woodford County, Nelson County and Thomas Nelson. The Lady Knights went on a good run and evened their season record after defeating Adair and Washington counties and Bethlehem, but their success was short-lived.

The Marion County Knights concluded a rough season with a 46-33 loss at Washington County Commanders, finishing the season 0-10.
"We just didn't do as well as I hoped," Knights Head Coach Corey Crume said. "The guys had a brand new coach and we lost key pieces."
The Knights lost Cameron Nalley to a collarbone injury, Luke Abell to a concussion and Trey Downs to a turf toe at various points in the season.

  • Never say never

I was watching Arkansas at Ole Miss on Saturday when Arkansas was faced with a 4th and 25 in overtime, down 52-45. Most people think 4th and 25 means the essential end of the game, and it's perhaps time to flip the channel to find a game that's competitive. First of all, if there's anything I've learned about college football (especially this season), it's that craziness and chaos are but a play away.

How many of you have never picked up a piece of clothing, sniffed it, and decided “clean enough?” Those who have will understand my point. Those of you who haven’t… shame on you for lying!

Isaiah Briscoe knows exactly how he wants to be described on the basketball court.
“I would like to be known as a winner. I have always gave 110 percent between those lines and tried to win each game I played,” said the Kentucky freshman point guard.
