  • Color in Motion 5K returns May 16

    For the third year in a row, the Color in Motion 5K is coming to Lebanon.
    This year’s event is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Graham Memorial Park. The course will travel up Fairgrounds Road through downtown Lebanon and back to the park.
    Race organizers stress that this race is about fun. Runners, joggers and walkers are all welcome to participate. At different stations along the course, runners are doused with biodegradable powder in a variety of colors.

  • High school soccer meeting is...

    Students who are interested in playing soccer for Marion County High School next season need to attend a meeting at 6 p.m. April 16 in the high school library. Parents should also attend this meeting.
    This is a change from a prior meeting date.

    St. Charles Middle School eighth-grade volleyball team under head coach Van Gadberry went into the bronze tournament as the number one seed.  The seventh grade team will be playing in the championship game on Wednesday in the silver division.   • Turkey season is fast approaching

    April 4 and 5 are fast approaching, so you better get ready.
    For what, you might ask. Here’s some hints: red, white and blue heads, brown with a beard and … oh yeah …. they gobble!
    That’s right, it’ll be turkey season. No, it won’t, you say. Turkey season doesn’t start until April 18 and goes through May 10.
    OK, as an adult, you’re correct! But I’m talking about the spring early youth season! In Kentucky, if you’re a youth, you get a head start on the adults.
