    After being canceled twice due to snow, the Lady Knights were finally able to make the trip to play the Taylor County Cardinals on Feb. 11 in the Lady Knights' final 20th district game of the regular season.
    The Lady Knights were unable to pull out a victory, losing by one, 42-41.

    Despite being delayed by the winter weather, the Marion County Aquaknights made the journey to TK Stone Middle School in Elizabethtown on Feb. 13 for region tournament action.
    "We have had a very strong and steady team all season," Aquaknights Head Coach Katie Kelien said. "Every swimmer made improvements this season. We were very competitive at regions."
    The Aquaknights finished sixth out of the 16 teams that competed with a team score of 232.5

    Former Kentucky basketball players Cameron Mills, Jeff Sheppard and Jared Prickett took a road trip to Louisville earlier this season to see their former UK coach, Rick Pitino, send his Louisville team against Utah Valley State and coach Mark Pope, another one of his former players at Kentucky.
    But the reason the group went might surprise you.

    The Marion County Knights began their week with a tough task as they hosted the North Hardin Trojans at the Roby Dome on Feb. 2.
    While the Knights kept it close early on, eventually, they ended up losing 77-47.
    "The first quarter wasn't actually that bad," Knights Head Coach Montrelle Irvin said.
    The Knights only found themselves down 29-18 to the Trojans (22-5, 9-1, 8-0) going into the locker room.

  • Epp named to Dawn Staley Watch...

    Former Marion County Lady Knight Makayla Epps has been named to another watch list. In addition to being in contention for the Nasmith Award, Epps is now on the watch list for the Dawn Staley Award, which is given to the nation's top point guard.
