The Lebanon Enterprise is a weekly newspaper owned by Landmark Community Newspapers Inc.

It is published on Wednesdays and has a circulation of approximately 4,200.

Its office, located at 119 South Proctor Knott Avenue in Lebanon, has been at its current location since April of 1966.

The staff is comprised of a publisher, reporter, advertising director, circulation clerk, bookkeeper/office manager, graphic artist manager, a sports reporter and a part-time driver.

Located in the geographic center of Kentucky, Lebanon and Marion County is peppered with beautiful knobs and rolling pastureland.

Numerous industries and businesses have located here over the past 20 years.

With a population of 18,000, Marion County is well known for its Civil War and religious history along with its main tourism attractions and events, such as Maker's Mark Distillery, Kentucky Cooperage, Limestone Branch Distillery, the Loretto Motherhouse and the Marion County Country Ham Days Festival, which is held the last full weekend in September.

While Maker's Mark Distillery is known for its premium bourbon world wide, Ham Days, the county's fall festival attracts more than 25,000 visitors because of its food, entertainment and shopping opportunities.

Agriculture remains an important part of the community with tobacco, corn, soybeans, cattle and hogs among the principal products. Workers here build auto parts and wood products and plastic injection molding industry is abundant.

The community features a variety of restaurants and live entertainment along with nine-hole and 18-hole golf courses, high school athletic facilities that rival those of small universities and several parks including Graham Memorial Park, which has the Lebanon Aquatic Center, an Olympic-style indoor pool.

The county comprises four incorporated communities - Lebanon, which is the county seat, Loretto, Bradfordsville and Raywick - along with villages such as Gravel Switch, St. Francis, Nerinx, Holy Cross, St. Joe and Finley.

All editorial copy including calendar, social news, education, letters to the editor, faith page submissions, corrections or any submitted news items or photos is due by 5 p.m. on Fridays.

All display ads that will run in other surrounding papers must be scheduled by 10 a.m. on Monday with your ad rep. Display ads running in just The Lebanon Enterprise must be scheduled by noon Monday. Classified line ads are to be placed and paid at 1-866-692-4237 by 1 p.m. Monday.

Obituaries are accepted from funeral homes and must be here by 10 a.m. on Monday.

Special sections and promotions as well as holiday deadlines are posted in the paper as they occur.
