- At 8:28 a.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a vehicle off the roadway in a creek on Highway 1183 (Manton Road) approximately four miles north of Loretto. Eunice M. Fenwick, 28, of Bardstown was driving a 2006 GMC traveling north when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the right shoulder, struck a mailbox and came to rest in a creek. Fenwick, who reported no injuries, had to crawl out of the vehicle through a shattered passenger window. The road was closed for approximately one hour to remove the vehicle. Sheriff Jimmy Clements investigated.
- At 9:09 p.m., Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Tristan Hayden was attempting to check a vehicle sitting on the shoulder of the roadway on Campbellsville Highway. As Deputy Hayden was exiting his cruiser the vehicle suddenly turned onto the roadway and took off in the opposite direction towards Campbellsville. Deputy Hayden activated his emergency equipment and pursued the vehicle for a short distance at which point it stopped. The driver of the vehicle Richard A. Lee, 55, of Campbellsville was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant out of Green County and lodged in the Marion County Detention Center. Lee was also charged with fleeing or evading police and rear license not illuminated.
