Aces win baseball tourney

The Central Kentucky Aces won a Memorial Day tournament in Danville, May 25-26. The Aces won three games May 26, to capture the title. They defeated the Danville Sliders, 4-1. Owen Mattingly got three hits and pitched a two-hitter with Brennon Wheeler getting the save. The Aces defeated Sports Reach in the semis as Wheeler pitch a four-hit complete game. Braxton Gowin had two hits and Mattingly, Davis Rafferty, Dawson McCarty, Gavin Johnson and KJ Kearney all had one hit each. The Aces pounded out 10 hits in the finale to defeat Southern Kentucky Lake Monsters 13-2.
