Elder seeing playing time at Dayton

Former Marion County High School Lady Knight Bre Elder has been getting some playing time as a freshman at the University of Dayton in Ohio.  On the season the Lady Flyers are 6-0 and are currently ranked in the top 25 for only the third time in program history. Currently, the Lady Flyers are 24th in the Associated Press poll and 25th in the coaches' poll. Earlier in the season, Dayton took down then 13th ranked Vanderbilt 71-66 in Dayton and then 25th ranked DePaul 92-80 in the Maggie Dixon Classic.
On the season, Elder has appeared in all six games and has scored 14 points.  She is averaging nearly 10 minutes per game and is shooting 50 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line.

Also, the Lady Flyers will have a few games that are scheduled to air on television. On Sunday, Feb. 3, the Lady Flyers will travel to take on Richmond at 11 a.m. That game will air on ESPNU. Later in the year, on Monday Feb. 18, Dayton will be hosting Duquesne at 9:00 PM on the CBS Sports Network.  In the regular season finale on Sunday March 3 at 2 p.m., the team will be hosting Saint Joseph's on ESPN2.
