Fire engulfed a trailer on West Main Street in Lebanon at approximately 5 p.m., Thursday, April 19, spreading quickly to the Marion Inn.
“We don’t know the cause yet, it’s still too early,” Lebanon Fire Chief Ricky Mattingly said Friday morning.
According to Mattingly, there were 11 units in the Marion Inn that were destroyed, and the trailer was completely destroyed.
The fire department received the call at 5:14 p.m. and cleared the scene at around 8:30 p.m.
“The trailer caused the fire. It was completely destroyed,” said Mattingly. “I don’t know if there were occupants in the trailer at the time, but there were occupants in the rooms at the inn that were destroyed. But no one was hurt.”
Representatives from the American Red Cross was on scene to assist the displaced residents.
