The Marion County Knights, on the brink of a winless season, traveled to the Taylor County Cardinals on Oct. 23.
For the second straight game, the Knights (0-9) were shut out, 45-0.
"We were just overmatched," Knights Head Coach Corey Crume said. "They scored on the first two drives and I felt we were just demoralized."
The Cardinals (4-5) used downhill running to wear the Knights' defense out and rack up points. Despite that, Crume said that he thought his defense played well considering the team they were matched up against.
Crume mentioned his offense did not execute the game plan and made mistakes often throughout the game.
The Knights will wrap up the season on Oct. 30 in Washington County against the Commanders.
