Ham Days Committee voices concerns with safety, police presence

 Concerns about safety issues and damage during Ham Days weekend were discussed at the annual Ham Days wrap-up meeting on Oct. 23.

Greg Gribbins, executive director of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce, addressed the safety issues that took place during this year’s festival.

“The challenge with the marketplace [flea market area] in its current location is the traffic that refuses to obey the barriers and drive down to get into The Cardinal Den,” said Gribbins. “It’s mainly motorcycles.”
