Hay barn burns down Saturday morning

-A A +A

A hay barn went up in flames in the early hours of Saturday, and the fire was likely caused by green hay that had combusted, according to Lebanon Fire Chief Ricky Mattingly.

Lebanon Fire Department, Marion County EMS and the American Red Cross responded to the barn fire located at 135 Old Springfield Road in Lebanon at approximately 5:30 a.m.

“It was pretty much gone by the time we got there,” said Chief Mattingly. “It was more than likely caused by some green hay that may have been in there that combusted. A lot of times that is the cause.”
