Layla Spring named Ham Days Pigasus Parade grand marshal

The Marion County Chamber of Commerce recently announced American Idol contestant and Marion County native Layla Spring will be the Grand Marshal for the 2018 Marion County Country Ham Days Pigasus Parade. The 16-year-old became a nationwide sensation this year advancing through the preliminaries to the top 24 participants of American Idol on ABC. Spring will help lead the Ham Days Pigasus Parade at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29. Following the parade, she will perform on the Maker’s Mark/Independent Stave Main Stage at 3 p.m.
