Lebanon woman killed in single-vehicle accident

A Lebanon woman died Thursday afternoon, June 27, in a single-vehicle accident on Lebanon Road, three miles south of Springfield, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Lois A. Duncan, 73, was driving a 2003 Dodge Neon, traveling north on KY 55 at around noon when she crossed the center line, leaving the roadway on the left side, according to the sheriff’s office. The vehicle traveled along the embankment before going airborne 41 feet, and striking a rock face embankment. The car came to rest sitting on its wheels, traveling a total of 559 feet.
