LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: 10-12 All-Stars suffer loss to Glasgow in opening game at district

-A A +A
By Gerard Flanagan

The Marion County 10-12 All-Stars got off on the wrong note in the District 5 Tournament, suffering an 8-1 loss to Glasgow on Sunday at Graham Memorial Park.
Glasgow quickly got on the board in the top of the first inning, scoring a runner on a sacrifice fly out. A walk, a passed ball and a groundout got the runner over to third.
"We made too many errors in the game,” Marion County Coach B.J. Mattingly said. “Not enough offense, either. I think we had only four hits in the game. It’s hard to win a game when you only score one run.”
