Dyxie Bay, the youngest sister of Layla Spring, captured the hearts of viewers when she accompanied Spring on her American Idol audition. Bay, who sang for the judges as well, even received a golden ticket for 2026. Despite her burst of fame, Bay is still a fun-loving kid at heart, devoted to her family, making slime, and of course, singing. 

Question: How old are you?

Dyxie: Seven


Q: What is your favorite thing to do?

D: Sing


Q: What is your favorite song?

D: Probably Redneck Woman  (Gretchen Wilson)


Q: Who is your hero(s)? 

D: Layla and Jaycee (sisters), because they are so nice to me, and they always help when something is wrong, and they help me with my homework. 


Q: What is your favorite thing to do with your family?

D: Go to shows and just all kinds of things.


Q: What is something you’ve always wanted to do?

D: I don’t want to do anything but sing, and I want to be a teacher one day. I want to teach second graders, because I’m in second grade.


Q: Who is your best friend?

D: There’s a lot of people, everyone is my best friend.


Q: If you could meet anyone in the world, who would you want to meet?

D: The slime makers on YouTube.


Q: Do you make slime at home?

D: Sometimes

Cindy Anderson (grandma): “All the time.”

Layla Spring: “It’s her second favorite thing to do.”

Cindy Anderson: “All the kids are making slime.”


Q: How would you describe yourself?

D: Funny, I’m very funny, silly, playful… all these words means the same thing!

Chasity Wright (mom): Well, what do you think other people think of you?

D: They think I’m funny, and they think I’m nice and a good friend. I think Layla and Jaycee think I’m a good sister.
