Money being raised for deceased farm worker

On Jan. 12, Antonio Hernandez, 19, died as a result of a hunting accident in Casey County. Hernandez, a Mexican native, has worked on tobacco farms in Casey and Marion counties, and his co-workers are attempting to raise money to transport his body back to his family.

Tim Benningfield said that approximately $6,700 was needed to transport Hernandez body.

According to Bartle Funeral Home in Liberty, they are around $1,500 shy of the necessary funds. Anyone interested in donating can send it to Bartle Funeral Home, P.O. Box 238, Liberty, Ky. 42539.
