Kentucky Classic Theatre is back with another new, old-fashioned melodrama for the holiday season. Performances of "The Desperate Director," written by G.B. Dixon and Dave Chappelle, will coincide with this weekend's Dickens Christmas and the Heart of Kentucky Holiday Festival the following week.

"The Desperate Director" will be performed Nov. 23, 24 and 30 and Dec. 1 in Angelic Hall in the Centre Square Fine Arts Building. All performances are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

In the play, silent movie producer Brimstone T. Lemmon is planning to cheat Mr. Edison out of royalties for his equipment while also tricking the people of Los Angeles into making his movies for free.

Adult tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Children's tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door.

Tickets can be purchased at Farmers National Bank, 100.9 MIKE FM and at the Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission Office in Lebanon or at Taylor County Bank in Campbellsville.

Kentucky Classic Theater presented last year's melodrama "Lovely in Danger" and A Midsummer Night's Dream" this summer.
