Olivier named new tourism director

Nena Olivier is the new executive director of the Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission.
During a special-called meeting Dec. 3, the commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Olivier to the fill the position vacated by Carla Abbi. Commission Chairman James Spragens said Olivier was the best candidate for the position.
He said the commission received 20 applications and five of those applicants were interviewed for the job. He added that he has been impressed with Olivier’s “quiet confidence” about the job.
