‘No trespassing’ signs mean what they say

By Stevie Lowery

Pope’s Creek Ranch, which was an up and coming tourism destination in Marion County, is officially closed. But, apparently, there are some people who don’t know that, or are choosing to ignore the ‘no trespassing’ signs on the property.
Tim Lanham, who is the farm manager at Pope’s Creek Ranch, said recently he found an entire campsite where people had been camping.
“Somebody had a campfire set up,” Lanham said. “I picked up two 35-gallon garbage cans full of beer cans.”
