UCCO seeks help with annual Thanksgiving meal

The United Concerned Citizens Organization will be hosting its 11th annual Henry L. Bell Thanksgiving Outreach from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, at Centre Square in Lebanon.
To prepare for this event, the UCCO is seeking help from Marion County residents and businesses, churches and organizations. The UCCO will accept food and drinks, money, or other contributions to help with the event and organization expenses.
Volunteers are also needed to cook, transport people and food, decorating, dining, advertising and correspondence, and clean up.
The menu for this year’s dinner will include turkey, boneless ham, whole kernel corn, Italian cut green beans, whole buttered potatoes with chives, jellied cranberry sauce and various desserts.
The decorating, dining and cooking committees will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Centre Square.
The cooking and dining committees will also meet Thursday, Nov. 28, at Centre Square.
Other volunteers will be contacted about when they will be needed.
