  • Cobbs will celebrate 70 years of marriage

     

    Stephen and Erdine Cobb, formally from Bullitt County, will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary in their home in Lebanon.
    They are the parents of Sharon Cobb and Denise Dyke, the grandparents of five, great-grandparents of eleven.
    Stephen is retired from Phillip Morris. Erdine is retired from James B. Beam Distillery.
    There will be an open house Sunday, Aug. 4, from 2p.m. to 6 p.m.  in Lebanon at 209 W. Walnut Street. No gifts, please, just well wishes.

    The Cocanougher reunion will be held Sunday, July 28, at the American Legion H all in Perryville from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. A potluck meal will be held at 12:45 p.m. Some Connours and Cocanoughers will share displays, pictures, stores, and information.     Monday, July 29: barbecue chicken legs, corn, marinated cucumbers, tomato and onion, watermelon, and whole wheat bread.
    Tuesday, July 30: spaghetti, meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic breadstick, and apple crisp.
    Wednesday, July 31: tuna salad, black bean and corn relish, mixed green salad, mandarin oranges, and raisins.
    All meals are served with skim milk.

    Thursday, July 25: barbecue chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, whole wheat bun, and baked apples and raisins.
    Friday, July 26: stuffed green pepper casserole, mashed potatoes, corn, cantaloupe, and whole wheat roll.
