    Monday, Aug. 13: chicken Parmesan, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and pineapple.
    Tuesday, Aug. 14: beef pot roast, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, squash casserole, wheat roll, and banana.
    Wednesday, Aug. 15: beef stew, brown rice, coleslaw, wheat roll, and pineapple delight.
    Thursday, Aug. 16: barbecue pork, au gratin potatoes, cucumber salad, oatmeal raisin cookie, and wheat bun.
    Friday, Aug. 17: breaded Pollock, pinto beans, coleslaw, vanilla pudding, and cornbread.
    All meals are served with skim milk.

  • Thompson and Haley will marry Aug. 18

     

    Lindsey Catherine Thompson and Ryan Patrick Haley will be married on Aug. 18 at St. Peter Church in Lexington.
    The bride is the daughter of Jeffry and Patricia Thompson of Lebanon. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville and is an information technology auditor at Humana.
    The groom is the son of Michael Haley of Lexington and Michelle and Charles Lancaster Jr. of Lebanon. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the director of development for Holy Spirit Parish’s Newman Center.
    The couple will reside in Lexington.

  • Reed receives award for brain injury prevention efforts

    Representative Brandon Reed of Hodgenville has been awarded the 2018 Leadership Award by the Brain Injury Alliance of Kentucky for demonstrating courage to address the needs of persons affected by brain injury, as well as his work to promote brain injury prevention.
    Reed received the award on Wednesday, July 18, in Louisville, at the 32nd annual BIAK Meeting and Awards Program.

    The Lanham family reunion will be held on Sunday, Aug. 5, at the Gravel Switch Community Center in Gravel Switch. There will be a potluck meal around 12:30 p.m. Chicken and eating utensils will be furnished.     Thursday, Aug. 9: hamburger, relish plate, potato salad, pork and beans, banana, and wheat bun.
    Friday, Aug. 10: tomato chicken Parmesan, spaghetti noodles, cucumber salad, wheat roll, and peach cobbler.
    All means are served with skim milk.
