    Richard Louis Kirzinger Jr., 52, Lexington, died Dec. 7, 2009 at Lexington's VA Medical Center.

    Sergeant Kirzinger was a member of the 475th Transportation Unit in Bardstown.

    Survivors include: his wife, Catherine Browning Kirzinger; two children, Jeremiah Evans of Huntsville, Ala., and Jessica Evans Long of Lexington; one grandchild, Madison Ray Long; his parents, Richard Louis Kirzinger Sr. and Joan Hamrick Kirzinger of Lebanon; two brothers Jim Kirzinger of Lebanon, Robert Kirzinger of Boston, Mass.; and one sister, Katherine Kirzinger Smith of Lebanon.

    Nancy Lee Clements, 98, Springfield, died at 4:13 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

    Born Nov. 27, 1911, in Washington County, Clements has been a resident of Village of Lebanon for two years. She was a retired nurse and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

    She was preceded in death by: her parents, James Cosmas and Martha Robbie Simms Clements; three brothers, James R., William A. and Luckett S. Clements; and one sister, Hallie Clements.

  • Burnita Mae "Nedy" Lyvers, 70

    Burnita Mae "Nedy" Lyvers, 70, Holy Cross, died at 6:09 p.m. Dec. 7, 2009, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.

    Born March 21, 1939, at Ironton, Ohio, Lyvers was a former CNA at the old St. Francis Nursing Home in Loretto.

    She was preceded in death by: her husband, James Ronald “Ronnie” Lyvers; parents, Joseph David and Elsie Ellen Raypole Suiter; a daughter, Linda Karen Lyvers; and a son, Terry Lee Lyers.

  • Stella Pauline Buckman Maupin, 97

    Stella Pauline Buckman Maupin, 97, Lebanon, died at 5:05 a.m. Dec. 8, 2009, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

    Born Jan. 26, 1912, in Marion County, Maupin was a former homemaker and member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.

    She was preceded in death by: her husband, Harry Maupin; parents, George William and Mattie Elizabeth Ray Buckman; a son, Donald Maupin; two grandchildren, Jennifer Angelini and Christopher Maupin’ five brothers; and one sister.

    Margie Lee Farmer, 98, Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.

    Born Oct. 13, 1911, in Marion County, Farmer was a retired Marion County Board of Education lunchroom employee and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

    Mary Deep Tabor, 91, Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at her daughter's home in Stella, N.C.

    Born July 19, 1918, Tabor and her husband were proprietors of Bill's Cafe for many years.

    She was preceded in death by: her husbands, Harry J. Baraket and William B. Tabor; parents, Willie A. and Selma Deep; four brothers, Jimmy, Harry, Eddie and William Deep.

    Sister Alma Riggs, SL, died Nov. 22, 2009. She was in the 78th year of her religious life.

    Born Dec. 11, 1915, in Loretto, she was received as a Loretto novice Dec. 8, 1933, and was given the name Sister Mary Eucharia. She was a teacher.

    Survivors include: a sister, Josie Riggs of Loretto.

    The funeral Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Seven Dolors at the Motherhouse in Nerinx Nov. 24 with burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.

    Lucille Peyton, 88, Lebanon, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009.

    Peyton was born May 22, 1921, in Marion County.

    She is preceded in death by: her husband, Clifton Peyton; parents, Shirley and Mattie Lou Stamp Wilcher; a daughter, Patricia Jolene Calvert; two sisters, Margie Hansford and Irene Grayson; and a brother, Hubert Wilcher.

    Richard Leon "Rick" Hayden, 38, Louisville, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Spring View Hospital.

    Born March 22, 1971, in Lebanon, Hayden was a welder for the Greenleaf Company in Louisville.

    Survivors include: his wife, Frances Coleman Hayden of Louisville; parents, Benny and Joyce Hayden of Lebanon; two daughters, Selina Brooke Coleman and Serena Shyanna Hayden, both of Louisville; and a sister, Toya Hayden of Atlanta, Ga.
