    Friday, Nov. 12
    - Hilpp Construction was the reported victim of theft by unlawful taking and first-degree criminal mischief. Copper line with an estimated value of $50 was reportedly taken Nov. 5. Five heat pumps were also damaged. The amount of damage was unknown at the time of the report.

    Friday, Nov. 26
    - Tiffany L. Redfern of Chestnut Street in Lebanon was the reported victim of fourth-degree assault domestic violence.  No injuries were reported, and she did not require medical attention.

    Monday, Nov. 15

    - Christopher Smothers of Old Lick Road in Bradfordsville was reportedly the victim of second-degree assault. He was struck under the left eye with brass knuckles and transported to Spring View Hospital by the Marion County EMS. He was later transferred to University Hospital in Louisville. No one was arrested for the assault.

    -  Los Mariachis Restaurant reported three plate glass windows were broken out of the business, causing $750  in damage.

    Monday, Nov. 15

    - At 9:26 p.m., the Lebanon Fire Department responded to a car fire at Maple Street Apartments. The scene was cleared at 9:53 p.m.

  • Raywick man to serve 10 years on forged instrument charges

    Douglas F. Brady, 40, of 3235 St. Joe Road in Raywick was sentenced to 10 years in prison after his probation was revoked on an original charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument (nine counts) and knowingly exploiting an adult over $300. His probation was revoked for failure to report to the probation office. He received credit for an additional 108 days served. He was recommended for substance abuse program treatment.

  • 15 die on state highways Nov. 15-21

    Preliminary statistics indicate that 15 people died in 14 separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, Nov. 15, through Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.
    Eleven of the crashes involved motor vehicles and seven of the victims were not wearing seat belts. Single-fatality crashes occurred in Barren, Elliott, Fayette, Franklin, Grayson, Henry, Jefferson, Madison, Mason, Shelby and Whitley counties. The suspected use of alcohol was a factor in the Whitley County crash.
    One fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Pulaski County and the victim was not wearing a helmet.

  • Lebanon man indicted for sex abuse

    Hossain H. Al-Freji, a.k.a. Joe Al-Freji, 40, of Lebanon was indicted for first-degree sex abuse and first-degree attempted sodomy in Marion Circuit Court recently.

    According to the indictment between April and July 2008, Al-Freji subjected another person to sexual contact by forcible compulsion. The indictment also reads that he attempted to engage in deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion.

    KSP activity report

    During the month of October 2010, there were 40 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

    There were seven fatalities during the month of October in the Post 15 area:

    • John Eric Cravens, Albany, was killed in Clinton County on Oct. 2, 2010.

    • Shannon Pinkston, Bardstown, was killed in Marion County on Oct. 3, 2010.

    Tuesday, Nov. 2

    - At 6:56p.m. the Loretto Fire Department responded to a field on fire on Highway 49 about one mile out of Loretto toward Holy Cross. The scene was cleared at 7:22 p.m.

    - At 7:20 p.m., the Lebanon Fire Department responded to a field on fire on Campbellsville Highway just up from Highway 412 and past the Coon Hunters Club.  The scene was cleared at 7:30 p.m.
