    May 8
    A single vehicle injury collision occurred at approximately 3:41 p.m., seven miles west of Lebanon on Tatum Lane. Elijah Turpin, 19, of Lebanon was driving a 1993 Chevy Pickup southbound when he entered a curve and struck an oncoming 2010 Pontiac being driven by Dylan Smothers, 24, of Lebanon. Smothers was transported by Marion County EMS to Spring View Hospital for minor injuries. Kentucky State Police Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Kentucky State Police monthly activity report for April

    During the month of April 2019, there were 14 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor, and Washington.
    There was one fatal collision during the month of April in the Post 15 area.
    Walter R. Parsons, age 59 of Lincoln County was killed on April 16, 2019 in Russell County.
    This brings the yearly fatality count to two compared with eight through this same period in 2018.

    A 15-year-old white female was cited for possession of marijuana at Marion County High School.

    Dollar General Store reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill.
    April 15
    Felisha C. Hazelwood of St. Rose Road in Lebanon reported $400 worth of damage to the rear storm door of her residence.
