  • Yearly fatality count is up from this time last year but down statewide

    During the month of October 2018, there were 16 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor, and Washington.
    There were three fatal collisions during the month of October in the Post 15 area.
    • Odellia Jones, 88 years old of Russell County was killed on Oct. 3, 2018 in Russell County.
    • Aaron Petranek, 38 years old of Metcalfe County was killed on Oct. 6, 2018 in Metcalfe County.

    Richard R. Scott of Chandler Street reported the theft of a 2010 KIA four-door automobile, valued at $5,000.

  • Lebanon man indicted for assaulting police officers

     Todd W. Carter, 37, of 162 Hamilton Heights in Lebanon was indicted in Marion Circuit Court recently for two counts of third-degree assault on a police officer, two counts of third-degree terroristic threatening, fourth-degree assault, two counts of resisting arrest, two counts of menacing, giving officer false identifying information and second-degree persistent felony offender.
